He woke up ravenous between rumpled sheets. The moon filtered through the curtains of the open window. She wasn't there; she had already flown. He walked into the kitchen to discover a stocked fridge with disgusting food... went into the bathroom to wash himself, willing to go out looking for something to put in his mouth and then realized that he would not find what he needed in any store. In front of the mirror there was nobody.

Un hambre voraz lo despertó entre sábanas revueltas. La luna se filtraba entre los visillos de la ventana abierta. Ella no estaba, había volado. Caminó hasta la cocina para descubrir un frigorífico repleto de comida repugnante.. Entró en el baño para asearse dispuesto a salir en busca de algo que llevarse a la boca y entonces entendió que no hallaría lo que necesitaba en ninguna tienda. Al otro lado del espejo no había nadie.
